parkfarmlogo31.jpgPark Farm ACYP Centre is a centre in the heart of the community of Carr Mill, St Helens.

How it all began…

Park Farm  is grass roots community centre and community hub concerned with providing a safe and caring place for local people of whatever age and ability to come to resolve problems and enhance their self confidence, wellbeing and prospects, through active engagement, learning and skill development.

Located on the Moss Bank estate in Carr Mill, St Helens, it is housed in an old farm house which had been left empty and had fallen into disrepair until it was lovingly renovated, refurbished and opened as the ACYP (Adult, Children and Young People’s) Centre  in spring 2008.

Bringing a Landmark Building Back To Life

Led by the board of Directors, the Centre Co-ordinator manages the day to day running of the centre and its various activities and is supported by a team of Volunteers.

Park Farm is both a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee.

Our Inclusive Approach

The centre aims to be inclusive to everyone offering a warm welcome with something for all ages (Adults, Children and Young People).

We have a fully accessible building so that most people with disabilities can use all our facilities and are always looking to improve our building and activities programme.

Providing Opportunities

Working with local people and other organisations we provide opportunities for local people to improve their educational skills, employment prospects, health and wellbeing, diet and physical fitness and also enjoy hobbies and learn new skills.

Park Farm provides clubs and schemes for children and young people and have facilities available including a hall/gym with a stage, meeting rooms and a computer suite for local groups and statutory bodies.

We work with a range of partners and funders:

Love the developments of the project and the building , huge difference! I had the privilege of working on the estate for 5 years or so. I have worked in the field of youth work for many years in various parts of the UK and this community, local volunteers and staff have been among the best. Good luck for the future and I look forward to reading more success stories !
